Accessibility Statement

Sicaly wants everyone to be able to browse, choose and buy our jewelry, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This statement explains how accessible sicaly.com is, what we have done, what is not accessible yet, and how to reach us if something gets in your way.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This covers the requirements of the European standard EN 301 549, which applies under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and, in Spain, Law 11/2023.

Conformance status

sicaly.com partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA. Most of the store meets the standard, and the exceptions are listed under "Known limitations" below.

What this store does

  • Keyboard: menus, product cards, filters, the image gallery, the bag, the wishlist and forms can all be used with the keyboard alone. A visible outline shows where you are, and dialogs such as the bag close with Escape and return you to where you were.
  • Screen readers: pages use headings, landmarks and labeled controls. Changes are announced when you add a piece to your bag or wishlist, when you get closer to free shipping, or when the Buy 1, Get 1 Free offer applies.
  • Seeing the content: text and controls meet minimum color contrast. Information never relies on color alone, and pages stay usable when zoomed to 200% or on a screen 320 pixels wide.
  • Motion: the offer countdown has a pause button, and the store follows your device's "reduce motion" setting.
  • Touch: buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably.
  • No overlays: we build accessibility into the store itself rather than adding an accessibility widget on top of it.

Known limitations

  • Product photo descriptions: we are adding a description to each photo. Until then, some photos are described by the product name only. The product page text describes each piece in full.
  • Small carousels on product cards: on some product cards the second photo can only be seen by hovering or swiping, not with the keyboard. Every photo is also shown on the product page.
  • Third-party services: checkout and payment are provided by Shopify and the payment providers you choose there. Links to Instagram open content we don't control. These providers are responsible for the accessibility of their services, and we can help you place an order another way (see below).

How we check

We last reviewed the store on October 4, 2026. We used automated testing with axe on desktop and mobile, used every page with the keyboard only, measured color contrast, and checked zoom and small screens. We are completing manual testing with screen readers, and we review accessibility again each time we change the store.
